Acrobatic Dance is an art form specifically for dancers. Acro has softer, more lyrical looking lines, with the emphasis being on lengthening “through” the tricks and holding pretty balances with interesting variations. This class is a fun and imaginative way to explore acrobatic dance for children aged 3-6. Children will learn to balance, roll, travel and jump in this class and you can expect to see skills such as: pike position, skipping, marching, pre cartwheel, plié, tendu, etc. The focus of this program includes learning the acro positions, locomotive skills (jumping, hopping, etc), balance skills, movement concepts, co-operation and social skills. which all enhance co-ordination, flexibility, strength and musicality.
